Does Massage Mòvil engage in any type of sexual or sensual massage?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. We are trained professionals who offer a powerful healing modality in a highly professional, mutually respectful environment. Please refrain from using any type of sexually suggestive remarks or actions. Doing so will result in immediate termination of your massage session and full payment of the scheduled session.
What is the cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 hours advance notice for any rescheduled or cancelled appointments. Same day appointment cancellations or reschedules can be subject to 50% of the scheduled service price. No call, no show appointments are subject to 100% of the scheduled service price.
What is the punctuality code?
The massage therapist will arrive 5-10 minutes before the appointment time to set up the table, etc. This allows you to complete an intake form if necessary, as well as a pre-consulation with your therapist, and it allows the session to start on time in order to give the full 60/90/120 minutes. If the therapist is late, your full time will be given.
If you are late, and this prevents the session from starting at the designated time this will unfortunately cut into your treatment timeframe. Your appointment is reserved for you, and only you. If we can accommodate a few minutes here and there, we will do the best we can to give you the full length of your scheduled massage. However, so that the next guest will not be delayed, and so that our massage therapists can have time to drive to their next appointment, eat, rest, and recenter, we cannot cut into someone else’s time by extending yours.
What areas of San Antonio do you travel to?
The greater San Antonio area. There is a $10 travel fee for any appointments over 20 miles from our home location (zip code: 78217).

How can I confirm that I have booked my appointment online or through the MindBody App?
Massage Móvil will confirm with you the date and time of your appointment after you have requested it. If you have not had a response to your initial request, you are not yet booked.
Massage Móvil strives to get back to you within 24 hours of the request, so if you have not had a response within that 24 hours, please call us at 210-378-8939.
What can I expect from my in-home massage session?
A highly trained, professional massage therapist will arrive to your location on time with everything needed for your session. You will be required to fill out a standard Client Intake form while they set up their equipment. The therapist will then speak to you about your health history and focus areas, etc. They will step out of the room while you get onto the table and knock before they come back in. Once your session is complete they will step out of the room to let you get dressed and then conduct a post consultation, discussing what they found during the session and any notes they may have for you, etc. The therapist will pack up their equipment and leave you to enjoy the benefits of your massage!
What If I don't have the space for you to set up for a session?
Currently we are a strictly mobile practice, and unfortunately do not have a spa space at this time.
Is draping required during the session?
YES, you will be draped during your entire session, no exceptions.
Using draping, the massage therapist will only work on the part of the body that is exposed -- your back, one arm or one leg, for instance. The rest of the body is covered.
Do I have to completely undress?
No, you can undress to your comfort level. Remember you will be covered/draped by a top linen, with the exception of the area being worked.
Will the therapist be in the room when I undress?
No. The therapist will go over your health history and goals for the session. After that they will step out of the room in order for you to undress to your comfort level and to get under the top linen and blanket. They will knock before they come back in.
When the session is finished the Therapist will leave so you can get dressed, and either meet you outside the room or knock before they enter.
How can I get the most benefit from my session?
Communication! Massage Móvil wants to provide you with the best possible experience. Even the best and most skilled therapists cannot always provide a great session without a little help from you. The key to getting the best massage is communication – yes – speak with your therapist and let them know what would make it a great massage.
Can I get a massage if I am pregnant?
Absolutely! Be sure to specify that you are pregnant when booking and be prepared to provide a note from your physician. Prenatal massage will be performed with the expectant mother lying comfortably on her side with additional pillows for added comfort. Add on services such as aromatherapy and hot stone therapy will be excluded from the service.
Do you offer Couples Massage?
Unfortunately at this time we do not, however we can accommodate sessions one right after the other. We allow 5 minutes in-between each session to change over the table and perform any pre-consultations before the second session begins. This allows the second person to get their full treatment time.
Do you accept short notice appointments?
We ask that you please give us at least 4 hours advance notice to book your appointment.
What type of payment options do you accept?
We accept cash and all major credit cards only. Payment will be collected at the time of service.
Does the session include a gratuity or a tip?
No, gratuity is not included but it is always appreciated.
What should I have ready for my therapist?
All you need is a space large enough for a massage table and enough room for the therapist to move around (at least and 8' x 8' space). The therapist will also need a place to wash their hands before and after the session.
Can I get a massage if I'm sick?
No. If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness or are contagious then it is not recommended that you receive a massage. Receiving a massage while you are sick may exacerbate your symptoms and make you sicker, and may cause the therapist to also get sick.
